Hi all
Am getting some weird repeatable behaviour today when going through the process of performing the Dirac Live set up with my XMC-1.
The reason I am running the calibration is that I've changed my rear speakers and moved my sub to a different corner in the room.
Simply...the final sound is terrible. Bias to the front left channel, limited mids and excessive bass for 2 channel music.
No issues with the sound checks, levels or downloading to the XMC-1.
Following everything as per the guide.
I've run the calibration 3 times today and one time I also switched the Emotiva supplied mic for my UMIK - result, same issue.
I have done a factory re set as well. Now here is the odd thing. Once I realised the sound was wrong, I went back and loaded my September file which is the previous one I was using until today. Result - better sounds or normal i.e. how I would expect Dirac to work (excluding the tweaks needed for my change in rear speakers and new sub position).
The only thing I can see is that the graphs today compared to September are very different.
Todays L&R final optimised green spectrum graph only seems to cover 90Hz to 10kHz. Either side of this range the dB levels drop like a cliff face.
September's L&R final optimised green spectrum graph covers 20Hz to 18kHz and then the dB levels drop off either side of this range.
I am using a Mac to run Dirac Live for Emotiva. Other than the occasionally random bombing out, never had any issues and I've run the application several times already this year.
Anybody got any ideas what I am doing wrong or what is causing the issue??
Thanks in advance, Alastair

Quick update here.
The above was when I was trying to set up for a listening position and a single chair.
I have tried again today and I still have the same issue.
But changing the listening space from chair to sofa works!
So happy for now if confused why the issue happens in the first place.
