Ugh. What a legend. Glad I’ve got 10+ Rush shows under my belt. siggie Agreed although I've only got 4-5 shows. First time I saw them was in Chicago for their Moving Pictures tour.
Incredibly talented performers, all of them.

Growing up along the Niagara River just outside Buffalo.....Rush was incredibly huge...iconic you could say. He was without a doubt one of the very best rock drummers of all time.....sad day, Rock & Roll lost another gem. Pour one out for Neil.....

Words cannot express the sheer gratitude for all that he has given me and others throughout his years. A true prophet for our age. I am sincerely without words right now. Thank you, Neil... for everything.

First show I saw was Hold Your Fire in Philadelphia. I was a loner so my Dad went with me. Had floor seats in the spectrum. My Dad's music was New Christy Minstrels so must have been a shock to his system.
Its a sad sad day. I have His Drum Solo from Rush in Rio on the TT. Will have to go give it a listen.
Its not a stretch to say Rush got me through high scholl and college... Thanks for speaking to me and helping me through the tough times. I swear it was like many songs were written to me to get me through it all.

Being a drummer, Neil Peart was always one of my favorites to listen to and try and emulate. Quite an accomplished drummer, lyricist and author. Only got to see Rush live once for the Presto Tour in San Diego. RIP Neil, you will be missed by many.

Maybe it's wrong when I feel that we keep losing great people who give, and the evil people who take seem to live forever. Not right this. In any case and mostly. I am sorry for all music lovers that another master has gained entrance to Heaven to amaze the Angels along with the many greats already there. You see, Heaven is an awesome place. Too bad for the non believers, because they stop believing the music stops here. How so short sighted they are. Music is Eternal. R.I.P. Neil Peart.
