Note: SOLVED - works fine on my LG OLED and Sony UBP-X700 player
I am considering buying Gemini Man on 4k UHD BLu Ray. This is a 60 fps blu ray. I once purchased a high frame rate 60fps blu ray (Billie Lynn's long halftime walk) and my Sony Sony UBP-X700 4k blu ray player was unable to read the format. Perhaps it was just a bad disc. Has anybody had issues with this one or with high framerate 4k UHD BLu rays in general? My TV is an LG ef9500 (65inch) which is HDR 10 capable HDMI 2.0a.

I'm trying to find the bandwidth of the HDMI inputs on that tv. My Sony 4K projector only has 13.5GB bandwidth even though the HDMI is 2.0a, so at 4K HDR 4:4:4 the most I can display is 24fps.

I can say that my Opp UDP-203 played Billy Lynn's with no issues whatsoever. I have Gemini Man waiting on my doorstep and will hopefully get to watch it tonight. Since I now also have the Panasonic DP-UB9000, I can test it in both players...

Looks like it may be a hardware limitation on the TV you have Gar discussions.apple.com/thread/8084699Seems like if you use Dolby Vision the most you can get is 30Hz, and seems like some people are able to get HDR10 at 60Hz, but I have not seen what chroma settings they are at.

I just reviewed this movie. It played at 60fps in Dolby Vision without a hitch. Looked marvelous for the most part, but some of the CGI fight sequences looked cartoonish.

I watched it last night and can confirm that it played fine on both the Oppo UDP-203 and the Panasonic DP-UB9000. My "6 Series" LG OLED only supports 60fps Dolby Vision @ 1080p, but the picture was sill amazing. Disabling Dolby Vision in the players results in full 4K 60fps with HDR and the picture is absolutely stunning. I can also confirm that, while visually stunning, I don't care for the overall 60fps viewing experience for a cinematic release. I much preferred watching the accompanying 1080p Blu-ray. As for the movie itself... I'd give it a 6 out of 10. I did find it rather entertaining...
