Servo controlled woofers have the exact same dynamic effects, it's just that the servo's bias voltage control can compensate for some of them making using a low Le woofer less important. There are many different subwoofer theories. I used to work for a company who designed systems that operated below fs only, meaning you want to use a driver with an fs around 80Hz, which is unheard of in the conventional subwoofer world. A good friend of mine once said to me: there are as many different approaches to solving an engineering problem as there are designers, and all of them are equally correct if the problem gets solved.
