Hello everyone,
It has been quite some time since I frequented these boards. I have been listening to a lot of music in my office and wanted to say how happy I am with my system.
Currently I have the following setup:
XSP-1 Preamp RPA-2 Amplifier ERT 8.3 Speakers KEF R400b Subwoofer ERC-3 CD Player XDA-2 DAC Oppo UDP 203 4K Ultra BLu-Ray player
Currently I am not using the Blu-Ray, DAC or CD player. I am just using my computer to my preamp using Amazon Music for HD and Ultra HD playback. When I get my office straightened, I will bring in my SACD collection and play those.
Hope everyone is doing well

It's very satisfying when you get the urge to "just play a couple tunes" that popped into your brain, then suddenly notice a few hours of pure enjoyment have gone by. Good to hear you're livin' the life!
It's been a while since I peeked at Amazon Music, probably sometime last summer, so I wasn't aware they offered HQ music. One year ago I tried Tidal MQA for a month and went back to the HiFi after finding only a few, and I mean only a few, successful searches for music that I wanted to hear.
UT-Driven, are you finding the library to be extensive enough such that most of your searches are successful? Because with the Tidal HiFi subscription I'm finding that almost anything I can think of is in the library, which is why I'm ok with the service. If the Amazon Ultra-HD library has good depth, that would be very attractive - especially for the price I just saw.

I prefer CDs in overall format but a lot of vinyl record guys keep telling me I need hear my music spun on a turntable. I think I'll try to convince them that Mp3s on a 5 1/4 inch floppy is all the rave today! J/king. Enjoy, William

I listen to pop, metal, classic rock, 80s alternative, you name it and I have found everything I was looking for. Note that not everything is Ultra HD, but even the HD sounds really good as it is supposed to be around CD quality.

Only downside for me is my collection is pretty small. I only have around 25 records.
