Anyone got the image to share? Being OS and not going to see my box for another 4 to 8 weeks or never is getting beyond a joke.. This sounds like a pretty good option for those that are not in the US. yep. Seems to be working just fine for those burning the image to their own SD cards.

And assuming Dirac Bass Control requires DSP code changes perhaps a change to the interface code may be needed and if it’s this easy to update it’ll be nice.

And assuming Dirac Bass Control requires DSP code changes perhaps a change to the interface code may be needed and if it’s this easy to update it’ll be nice. Sure. Assuming we thought that far ahead. Two methods might work well. Add a command in the G3P menu to "Update EDNIB". This command triggers a package update on the EDNIB and reboots it if necessary. The second option would be to send out a new SD card. That has a cost though. And, at roughly $100,000+ of unexpected costs per 1000 units to get Dirac off the ground, I'd say we're trying to salvage as much profit as possible. Which leads me to me last option... We flat out won't get DBC unless the community raises hell. They promised Dirac Base Edition and we now have it. There is no money to be made from DBC for them. No one will buy a sub expansion module without it. It's pointless tbh. For the most part, a channel expansion module is pointless unless you want to bi-amp your speakers and also want front wides. I struggle seeing them invest a lot of time into this small use case. I'm already considering selling my RMC-1 in order to purchase 1 or 2 XMC-2s or something else entirely. There is no roadmap. The number of customers that just dropped coin on a minidsp would have purchased a channel expansion module with DBC. Or, some additional code that allowed us to combine the subs together internally. I'm my jaded opinion, if you were even remotely close to delivering, or were in testing for either of these things, you'd be shouting it from the rooftops to grab additional revenue and market share. It appears they have other people developing speakers and other odds and ends. But, when it comes to anything involving DSP code, it seems to be one contractor plus one guy in house that can do some things on the Linux side. ( I could be incorrect about this point) All of this rant to say... I don't think there was ever a thought put into having to touch this EDNIB. It was actually said in a post somewhere on here. That doesn't prove anything other than we haven't looked far enough ahead to understand what it will take. Last thing I'll say is that only one person I spoke to out of 4 at Emotiva didn't even know what DBC was as they were about to enter beta testing. This was after 6 other manufacturers had the solution released on there units. Many of them for free. Does this help with understanding the lack of roadmap? Your competition had implemented a technology from one of your partners, and you weren't even aware of its existence as you are pounding code into s keyboard and testing.

When other big release happen like the new iphone comes out people will say ordered on some date and received some date. I know this isn't a iphone but think it would help people get a idea of where they are at without having everyone calling.

To answer your question, yes, XMC-2 owners outside of Beta testers have received their Kits, they seem to be shipping in order of purchase (XMC-2's started selling about a year ago). I agree that it's probably better that everyone doesn't call asking about their status, but I don't know how they want to handle status updates.

Emotiva has planned all along on delivering DBC. I don’t think that has changed.

Bought my XMC-2 in September of last year so probably worth giving them a call then. Thanks for the update. I bought my XMC-2 in February, and received my kit last week. So yes, something is definitely odd. Definitely give them a ring.

So yes, something is definitely odd. Definitely give them a ring. I bought mine in January of this year and have had mine for 2 or 3 weeks. Although, I'm not sure what day or month it is anymore, so I could be mistaken on how long I've had it.

Hey all, just wanted to post here before calling Emotiva support tomorrow in case I can forego the phone call based upon info provided here: I live in Colorado and I've been an owner of the XMC-1 for years now. Like many, I've been patiently waiting for the XMC-2 with Dirac to be available prior to upgrading. I read somewhere online that the Dirac kit was now shipping, but I wanted to be certain it was true, so I called Emotiva support on 8/17/2020 prior to placing the XMC-1 to XMC-2 upgrade order online. The first person to answer the phone was "pretty sure" the XMC-2 was now shipping with the Dirac Interface Kit, but to her credit, she wanted to verify it, so she transferred me to someone else. The gentleman who answered confirmed that the XMC-2 was shipping with the Dirac Interface Kit, and just to be clear, I asked, "So, if I place the order to upgrade the XMC-1 to XMC-2 online, the XMC-2 I receive will have the kit with it." He confirmed that it would, so I placed the order after hanging up (e.g. I placed the order on 8/17/2020). Fast forward to today (9/1/2020) and the XMC-2 arrived, but did not include the Dirac Interface Kit. To say I was bummed would be an understatement: I had no desire to trade in my XMC-1 with its meticulously tuned Dirac for an XMC-2 without Dirac (hence the due diligence performed prior to ordering). So,was I given incorrect information? Is the kit available? How do I get it as quickly as possible? Is there some sort of webpage I need to navigate to? I already registed my MAC address the moment the processor arrived via emotiva.com/pages/diraclive, but is there a different page utilized for the ordering of the Interface Kit? Thank you for any and all information you can share.

Just call Emotiva tomorrow and they can either get you a tracking number for the Dirac kit, or ship one out to you ASAP in case there was some mistake.

Just got a message from my Swedish supplier - Hembiobutiken - that they have recieved my order of 1 Emotiva Dirac Live kit. I guess they have recieved the kits and are starting to send them out. Finally :-)
Edit: And now I just got notification that the kit is about to be sent today.
