Noobie here (my 1st post)...just hooked up my new RMC-1, DR3, and XPA 6. Anyone have issues with HDMI ARC? On my RMC-1, I’ve got it connected from the HDMI Output 2 to my Sony A9G TV’s HDMI ARC connection, but I can’t hear audio when I’m using the TV’s internal apps like Netflix or Disney+. I can see and hear the audio from the TV only. From my understanding of how ARC works, I shouldn’t need another audio cable from the TV to the RMC-1. I made sure that the input was set to HDMI ARC on the RMC-1, and that ARC and CEC were turned on on the TV and CEC is enabled on the RMC-1. I also selected "Audio System" instead of "TV Speakers" on the TV. Any advice is greatly appreciated. THANKS!

HDMI ARC CEC didn't work for me with a Sony TV, a Sony BD Player and a Sony AVR. Reported to Sony and they had no answer aside from buying other Sony products of a more recent model. What hope is there for mixed brands, my view, none.
Cheers Gary

My RMC-1 with version 1.9 does not work with ARC either. I have a Samsung 65Q80R. I have had the Samsung ARC HDMI port connected to the RMC-1 1/ARC and 2/ARC with no luck, so I just gave up. I still have issues with the RMC-1 in the video pass through mode, I always get video but most of the time there is no audio. Once I turn the RMC-1 ON then OFF, the audio is present.

The latest RMC-1 firmware corrected my ARC issues and it also corrected the speaker crackle I had in Zone 2..

I have spent hours and hours trying to get my Sony 950H to connect with my brand new Emotiva RMC-1L and no luck. I am noticing a lot of lag when changing inputs on the unit as well. I had to reboot to sort it but it is back again. My Sony BluRay and Cable box have no issue with the processor and work fine. I powered down both tv and processor which would at least let me try again to sync but no dice. I'll call support in the morning to see what I can do. My previous Marantz 7706 had no such issues but does not sound nearly as good as the Emotiva based on my initial sound testing without even using DiracLive yet. I look forward to that tomorrow. BTW, it shipped with 2.x firmware so has the latest updates as far as I know.

BTW, it shipped with 2.x firmware so has the latest updates as far as I know. It helps to know what's at the other end of the chain, everything matters everywhere. For ARC to work with my 950G the settings on the processor needed to be: On the 950G: eARC:: OFF Yes, this needs to be set to OFF !! Speakers:: Audio System On the RMC-1/XMC-2: HDMI CEC:: Enabled Audio To TV:: Enabled Do a Cold Boot. Switch the power off using the switch on the rear panel, wait one minute before powering on again. I don't use ARC because I HATE ARC. But I just did what the I wrote above and verified it still works this way. It will not work without a cold boot, and it will not work with eARC on the Sony set to On. If you wait less than a minute for the cold boot, that's up to you, but it might not work. Now I'm turning it back off.
