I recently picked up a decent 1980's Pioneer turntable, which I have been cleaning up.  Last night, to go with it, I got an old 1980's Pioneer receiver (with phono input!). It was one of those free side-of-the-road deals. Interestingly, according to the service manual, its built-in amp has the same or better measurements than my Aleph. Somehow, I'm thinking there's more to an amp than measurements.....  Now I just need to find an old pair of 1980's pioneer speakers, and I'll be all set! |

I bought the Ultra 12 about 20 minutes ago! I have never owned a 12" sub and 10 was the largest prior size. I think since Emotiva delayed this series until they were satisfied with the sound of the product and made more design changes which need to be reckoned with in my personal rig.
I will post my impressions! Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Grabbed a 64gb iPad to play around with and a wireless keyboard to go with it. Not sure what the hell I'm gonna do with it......just something to mess with for now. I'm sure my kids will get their grubby little paws on it:  |

Picked this up from a friend of a fellow forum member for a VERY VERY VERY low price. Still getting it all dialed in, but so far so good. I must admit, I think Mcintosh has some of the most sexiest gear around. ;D   Btw, pardon the temporary crapy rack. My new Studiotech replacement should be here in a few weeks. ;D |
