You are correct! We sold the ski boat for the pontoon. Nothing says you can't party at 70 mph Oh man. I gotta have one of those.

Went out to Movie Gallery yesterday (they're closing for good this coming Sunday, just like Rogers Video), and bought 385 Blu-rays! ...That's right, $3 a piece! ...And bought a dozen of DVDs at $4 a piece (more money than the Blu-rays!). Of course, all of these were previously viewed, except for two brand new BDs. * I'm going back tomorrow to clean up some more video stores. Now you know why I didn't post at all yesterday! ;D

I just got this delivered yesterday! Denon 3311ci. I'm looking forward to getting my basement finished again so I can fire this baby up!!! I will be retiring my old Sony 4ES to the workout room. That sony is one of the best pieces of gear I've bought and has served me well all these years. But out with the old and in with the new. Looking forward to the xmc-1 so I can move the 3311 to the upstairs HT. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I just picked up a Sony S1000ES Blu-ray player for the bedroom. They are only $199 now at Vanns, so I thought I would give it a go. It looks to have great DVD playback along with Blu-ray. Doug

Doug Problem solved. It did not like the HDMI cable that I used for my Oppo DV980H player. I hate HDMI. Doug

No no this is for personal use only; me, the wifey, the sons and daughters visiting sometime, and the neighbours, with their kids too. Wow... what do you use to store all of those? I've got two walls (floor to ceiling) packed with CDs and movies, two layers! I have several drawers full of software. I have over 4,000 CDs, 4,000+ DVDs, I don't know how many thousands LPs, tons of VHS tapes, tons of cassette tapes, tons of 8-track tapes, hundreds of HD DVDs (about 400), about 600 SACDs, hundreds of DVD-Audios, close to 2,000 Blu-rays... * I just bought another 400 Blu-rays today, plus another dozen of DVDs. ...All on sale (80% off). Then that guy came in while I was still buying and he just purchased all the rest of the inventory (all the Blu-rays and DVDs), ALL of them! That guy is a video store owner, I talked with him and gave him some of my Blu-rays, because I had too many! The store's last day of business was supposed to be Monday, August 9th; now they are close for good, as at 6:00 PM today, while that guy was there. He had a big truck. ...Very nice guy too, Indian. Now, BlockBuster is having a sale on previously viewed Blu-rays; 2 for $9.99 ($5 a piece). I'll go check them out tomorrow, about a dozen stores not far from where I live (Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, ...). Many Rogers Video too are now closed and they were having sale like, buy one Blu-ray get two free! * I'll have to get rid of my older stuck to make room for the new stuff. Anybody's looking for 8-track tapes? Or cassette tapes? About VHS Videos? ;D Some of those tapes aren't playing no more as the tapes are erased (all by themselves over time)! - If you don't believe me, try to play your older cassette tapes, and you can ear distortion coming from the other side of the tape!, so much as it ain't playable anymore! Anyway, four vehicules take some room too, so are many things in a home. Why do you think people like me put their money in a bank?

If I may add; some people have up to ten wifes or more (Arabs). Where do you think they put them? ...Very true too.

Finished my required course to get a CCW. After many delays and back-orders, finally got the Sig I've been looking for: That is such a sweet pistol! I have been wanting one for a while, but the only thing that shy's me away is that it is heavy and bulky. Too much so for a CCW. It pulls up dead on target though
