I bought a freya plus as recommended and it lasted a week before the volume control messed up, acted like it needed to be deoxited you know. It quit altogether on me, Nevertheless I Sent it back and two months later I have it back repaired. It sounds amazing, in tube mode I have some volume, in the other modes I have to have the volume turned up over half way just to hear it? It was like that when I first got it! Does yours do that? Are they all like this? I do Have a gain switch on the amps and have them On there higher setting. Did you purchase the unit new and it lasted a week? Let me get this right, it then took two months to get it repaired? I just want to make sure I understand before further comment. Thanks

Yes the unit was bought from schiit and shipped on June 17. There is a month wait, I purchased on may 17, more like only 3 days of use and the volume acted up, emailed the clerk at the HQ there to let her know. It had gotten worse and my 15 days were up to return it, which I wanted to keep it anyhow. I shipped it back on my own nickel on July 13, they did reimburse me, July 16 they had it for repairs. Just got it back Saturday on aug 8th so not quite 2 months but it sure felt like it. Now I notice the stepped attenuator doesn't go all the way up using the remote from a distance, stops at 3/4. To be honest I think it was repaired and they forgot to ship it out till I really complained last Friday. It still wasn't ready then 5 minutes later she emailed and said it's repaired, they created a shipping label and slowly shipped it, took 5 days. Also I received 100 off because of a blemish right above the volume, it originally shipped like that, you can barely make it out.

Thanks for the update! If your happy, that’s all that matters. Damn shame you had to wait so long for a repair on a new unit. Enjoy the music! 🎶🎶🎶🎶

When I sent the freya in for repairs I told them send me a new unit, emotiva did when that unit was doa! Not gonna complain anymore though, this switching device is great, just the remote isn't handling the attenuator 100%.
