Hi. Since I have a XMC-1, I'm not in a rush to upgrade to a RMC-1 until it's fully realized, so questions: - Is Dirac Live fully working yet in the RMC-1?
- Have all of the bugs been quashed?
- Is there (or is there going to be) a new iOS remote app that will offer full functionality over all of the operating and setup parameters? From what I gather, the on-screen menu is just as lame in the RMC-1 as in the XMC-1. I want the ability to easily adjust tone controls and then reset them to default with one button. Currently, it's a real pain in the ass.
- I found the test results in the latest review a bit disturbing, but it does seem that you are cleaning things up with firmware upgrades... is the unit up to full spec now?
Thanks.

Thanks. Nope foggy1956 was a little bit abrupt in his answer! To respond to all of your points, he should have said Hope that helps.

I'm also a prospective buyer with questions. Can a Emotiva give us an estimate on when they think Dirac live will be working? Are there any plans to reduce the time delays widely reported in switching inputs and other changes?
Thanks

Are there any plans to reduce the time delays widely reported in switching inputs and other changes? Thanks The last official answer was "soon" (Mind you that was the answer in February as well as in June) Regarding input switching delays etc, these are no longer an issue since the ground-up rewrite of the firmware, starting with 1.10. I only ever had Firmware 1.10 on my XMC-2, and it just felt identical to using my tried and tested XMC-1 (with original HDMI 1.4 board) but with updated features like HDMI 2.0. I believe they should have called this firmware ver 2.0 as from reading the forums, it was a gamechanger.

Dirac is in beta test. Depending what issues are found will equate to release. So “soon” is quite possible.
Latest official firmware makes switching much faster.

I'd say normal switching speed - as in what one would expect from a surround sound processor. Faster than before maybe, but actually, fast enough, and as much as I would want. The occasional minor click or brief static but nothing that would scare a pet puppy dog. Also, I have NEVER had failure to lock on to signal. I have simple equipment though - HTPC, Opp Blu-ray, PS4 and Nintendo Switch I even have faultless ARC from my Samsung TV, so for me connectivity is a non-issue Basically, I count my blessings for the Firmware rewrite leading to 1.10, as it came out a week or so before I got my XMC-2 I think it dispels all the previous gripes, and there are just some new or persisting ones
