Just recieved my new fluance RT-85,,got everything wired up,,ran XPS-1 into aux,,But i have to turn the volume up so much more to hear it? What am i doing wrong? Or does the XPS-1 just play that low and i have to turn up volume? I tryed CD input,,same thing..Now my Integra DTR40.4 has a phono input and a ground not sure since i am running an external preamp should i still plug it in there?

I’m guessing you figured this out, but you should not plug a phono preamp into a phono input, the preamp is replacing the one in your receiver. You should plug the preamp into a line level input, it might be called Aux, or Analog, or Line. You could also plug your turntable directly into the receiver’s phono Input, without the phono preamp.

Yea didnt think plugin it into phono was a good idea,,Have it going into AUX and had to go into settings and adjust some things,,much better now..Thank You

Wonder how it would sound on the XMC-2? Was cleaning up some cabling with the RMC-1 and took a photo, this is how I have the XPS-1 hooked up, you could do something similar with the XMC-2.

Typically I find a TT to be lower volume wise compared to other sources, make sure you have all settings on the XSP-1 proper as well. Chad Here's mine
