OK while I was not able to add a new shipping address, I was able to add to cart and set the shipping address there. Thanks everyone... in a few hours I will order it... build your own 10-4-3S, so 10 channels, 4 high power, 3 stereo modules Tell Emotiva they can thank YOU for prodding me into placing an order for the BasX-800 amp! I was on the fence, and looking at the amps again, so, what 'da heck? It'll replace a good XPA-200 amp and a very old stereo receiver I was going to use for the 4 ATMOS Tops. You can still use the XPA200 for left and right front....

You can still use the XPA200 for left and right front.... uh, nooo, nooo, nooo, noooooooooo, um, no. The XPA-200 isn't up to the task - yes I've tested. Just can't handle the loooow impedance at decent volume and the soundstage collapses. I've got tube monos for the L&R. I used to use the Krell 5 channel amp for the Center and bi-amping the L&R when I had passive Vista speakers, but when I got my current mains I felt the need to find out if something else would be better. After trying other amps with my current speakers, which only need external amps for the stat panels, the testing ended the moment I connected my tube amps almost exactly one year ago, and there is no desire to try anything else. After thinking a bit today, I AM gonna try using the XPA-200 for just the Center which is rated at 6 Ohms. The amp should work great for the Motif Center. Then take the Krell out of service and use the BasX-800 for the Surrounds/Tops (all are 4 Ohms). Worth a try. Should be good.

So you have power hungry speakers, hmm, you should try the new nuclear power amp...lol...

Being that they are electrostatic they present themselves as more of a capacitive load, and the impedance drops to 0.7 Ohms, so stability is the key spec for amplifiers. Clipping comes on early for those not worthy.
