Turned up an immaculate amp, complete with original packing, even rack mounts. Got it home, all channels work fine, but it has the notorious power hum. And no, it's not the chassis needing to be decoupled from a shelf, and no, it's not a ground loop, and no, it's a normal sound, and no, it's not one of the other assorted excuses to explore or dismiss. I was expecting a dead silent amp. Several options. Send to Emotiva service with low expectations and lose 225 round trip shipping. Sell as is, let someone else deal with it, maybe try to wire out the transformer issue. Or, commit the ultimate sacrifice, Emo heresy, and part out the 7 amp blades. I know there's handful of you that either need one or would like a couple spares. And, yes, it's not modular like the MPS, but doubt it's not replicant science, either. And much easier to ship. Cue the Vangelis.
Or try to talk me off the ledge.....
