Hi all,
Just got my freshly delivered XMC-2 which came loaded with 1.10 fw, however, I cant seem to get Arc to work with my LG OLED same as with my old XMC-1.
Anyone had any luck with this feature?

Sorry I cannot help you but I’ve always had better luck not using ARC but instead I use Logitech Harmony remote to control my gear. Good Luck! 🎶👍🎶

I too have a harmony remote (couldn't function with out it) but I'm trying to get audio back to the XMC-2 from the TV, in addition my HDMI 2 ARC channel on the XMC-2 doesn't appear to work at all! No OSD to the TV on this channel.

Also, check the CEC area of the Menu to find out what is checked and enabled. If CEC is enabled, the first - uncheck all of the child elements and back out of the menu, then go back in and uncheck CEC. I found that some items were enabled from the factory, thus allowing some strange behavior with unknown combinations of devices.

It’s worked for me in the past. But never lasts more than two days then it’s stuck on not working. So I’ve given up on it but it sure would be nice to direct the sound on my LG apps to the XMC2.

I found that some items were enabled from the factory, thus allowing some strange behavior with unknown combinations of devices. He's asking about ARC... Audio Return Channel. An HDMI cable is connected as an OUTPUT from the XMC-2 processor to an INPUT on the TV, providing video (and audio) to the TV, ARC uses that same connection to "return" audio from the TV to the processor, on the same HDMI cable. There is however a relationship with CEC... it does have to be on for ARC to work. The manual says: Also in the manual is this: It is HDMI output 1 on the XMC-1 So,: - Make sure CEC is ON on the XMC-2
- Make sure ARC is ON on the XMC-2
- Make sure the HDMI cable on the XMC-2 is connected to HDMI output 2
- Make sure CEC is ON on the TV
- Make sure ARC is OB on the TV, and eARC is OFF
- Make sure the HDMI cable on the TV is connected to an input that supports CEC/ARC

I know this is an old thread but just incase anyone else has this problem as I also did with my LG OLED and the XMC-1 Its a matter of timing and getting the two devices to do the "handshake" to pass the signal. Thank copyright concerns for this" In my case i have to unplug both and let them sit for 15 mins. Then repower them back up. and set the ARC settings. What stinks is I have to do this whenever I have a power outage or blip.

You need to turn on the ARC function on TV and there is also such a function from the link-it must be turned on if you have to put it on the machine! - Turn off tv. Turn on the TV, and turn it on to XMC-2 HDMI and CEC! turn off hms-2/ then check it out!
