...don't worry so much about the side wall reflections, you can damp them easily. And, can you reverse the speaker and couch positions? I think I can - any particular reason? Don't let Gar spend your money!!! garbulky's recommendations have been surprisingly productive - not all of them of course, but enough that I find him worth listening to. I bought my Audio-gd HE1 preamp on his recommendation, and still think it's a stellar product. I bought my first wall absorber panels on his recommendation, and they've paid for themselves to my estimation. I've purchased some things on his advice, though, that although good, just weren't for me (the XPA-1 amplifiers and the Stealth DC-1 DAC come to mind). Those items sound jaw dropping in his system, but don't quite work as well in my room. Who knows why? I'm happy to say that I've shattered a few of garbulky's preconceptions over the years too. He once believed that only amplifiers with massive power reserves could sound good - until he heard my 12-watt Heathkit amps. In his room, asymmetry required the installation of a LOT of sound absorbers. He believes that my room needs the same, but I'm still not convinced. More, yes - Cover all surfaces - no. So garbulky and I have discussions and occasional arguments about audio, but whether or not I agree with him, I've found his opinions worth respecting (as I do yours, audiobill). It's a pleasure to know the both of you. Glenn

Yes, maybe less corner boom from the bass and maybe less side reflection?
And the speakers won't be facing highly reflective glass...
It's been fun watching gar's knowledge grow, don't mind me!
