If you have TIdal (the top tier), and a Gen3 processor, and it's set up for Atmos, go to your system now, find the ATMOS full Kraftwerk 3-D "The Catalogue" and listen to it now. You will thank me later. Plan to do nothing else for the next sevarl hours.

Nice stuff, I myself am just 5ch HT system for now, no extra speakers anywhere else as my room is smaller in size, I still find 2ch in Reference Stereo sounds soooo good Chad PS: I'm currently blasting "The White Stripes - Elephant" on the outdoor speakers for myself and thy neighbors muhahaha

Great choice! Small room huh? I think I take the prize in that regard.. nearly a perfect 10' cube... the worst possible room for audio.. but for some reason, with proper placement of various things including myself it sounds great

I've been testing out the Tidal Atmos tracks on my setup (nvidia shield tv to Denon receiver and xpa-7). Some stuff sounded great (riders on the storm, REM),but many of the tracks seemed to have very quiet vocals. I read of others experiencing the same. What was your impression?
Btw, Tidal Hifi might still be on sale at Best Buy for $100 for the year. I just switched from Google Play Music.

Yes I experienced at least one song where the effect wes not properly mixed, resulting in overlyloud surround, and quiet vocals. It was aclassic rock track I will see if I can find it later today

Even though I don't have an Atmos setup and just 5 channels I listened to a bit of the Atmos stuff to hear the surround and some wasn't bad but I find I have to turn my system way up to achieve the same volume as listening to the 2ch stuff.

I am listening to Tom Petty's Wildflowers Atmos mix (Tidal) and on my XMC-2 Atmos system and it is pretty impressive. Check out this article about it.

Unfortunately I cannot listen to that track as I ended up cancelling my Tidal subscription. I had a few reasons which are covered sufficiently elsewhere, but I will indicate that despite some very explicit liking of the music I like, and adding artists I like, Tidal seemed to still think I only wanted to listen to Rap or Hip-Hop, which is not at all aligned with what I like. Spotify, despite flaws, nails it when it comes to recommendations... it basically reads my mind and serves up recommendations that are nearly always spot-on.
