Looking for a TV stand / cabinet that has to be 90" long x 24" deep x 33' tall. I want 2 open shelves on both ends with doors in the middle and maybe 2-3 drawers above the shelves and doors. We can get one custom mdade but I'd like to save some $$ and find one.
Any thoughts where to look. I've looked a lot of places online with no finds so far.

Yep... that's what I did, built one... or more correctly, am having done. Obviously mine has different dimensions, but if I can send you the SketchUp file if you want to use mine as a model. It's not cheap. Mine is 3 "columns" with 3 shelves... so 9 bays for equipment, plus the top of course. Mine's quite a bit taller than what you're asking for but so far I am in it $CAD600 for materials alone

I had a custom cabinet built for about what a good quality "off the rack" one cost. I even had custom drawers to accommodate cd's, dvd's etc. and a place to store lp's. You might want to explore that option. Aside from the cost, having a cabinet built around your equipment is a very appealing option considering you will be spending a lot of time looking at it.

We did get a rough estimate to have one built with those dimensions but we're around $2500. That price might be worth a person's time using quality materials but wow, that's a lot of $$!!

I agree esquire. Building your own is a tough one, especially if your skills/tools/work area are limited. At 90" x 33" x 24", it sounds like it is going to be the focal point of the room, which you would want cosmetically pleasing to the eye. Have you priced having one built 'raw' and then you finish/stain it yourself? Everyone can cut hair, but it is all about what it looks like when it is done. Good luck!

I think it sounds pretty reasonable, a ’stock’ unit from BDI or Salamander would typically be between $1500 and $2000, for a much smaller cabinet (maybe 60-72” L x 20” D x 28” H. I built my own at 96” x 24” x 30” (including castor base), and it took weeks (months really). Checkout those brands for an idea about costs and consider the custom option a fair price.
