Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well and being safe in these crazy Covid times. So I am looking for a little advice and even a little guidance. I am fairly new to the audio world and have become a huge fan of Emotiva. I just recently decided to get into the 2 channel world and bought a pair of Focals that split time between my home theater system that I am putting together and my 2 channel system. At first they were running off a Yamaha Aventage 2050 but recently I got my hands on an XSP-1 gen2 along with an XPA-2 gen3. Both were used but I couldn't pass up the deal I got for both together. They were well taken care of and still had almost 3 years left on their warranty. I absolutely love the way they sound with my Focals and couldn't believe how much of a difference they made compared to the Yamaha.
At the moment my system consist of the Yamaha 2050, the XSP-1 gen2 along with XPA-3 and XPA-2 gen3s. Soon I plan on upgrading my Yamaha to the XMC-2 or an Anthem AVM 60 paired with a set of XPA-DR1 and my XPA amps. Would the XSP-1 still be needed if I go to the XMC or the Anthem? I understand that they discontinued the XSP and from what I have read they are thinking about making a new version of it. Would it be wise keeping it and would it sound as good or better then either the Anthem or XMC. If I did sell it I would use the money I got and put it towards new equipment. Would the XSP have value considering the almost 3 years left on the warranty? Also would it be a good idea to hold on to it incase Emotiva does the same thing where you can trade in 1 item and use that trade in to purchase the new model XSP.
Thank yall in advance.
