I hope they line up just right and straighten out the mess weāve got down here Those aren't stars! (Spoken the same as Steve Martin: "Those aren't pillows!" (Planes, Trains, and Automobiles)) You would need the stars to align.

It's humorous to me how some are making the GREAT CONJUNCUION (tm) out to be some hugely significant event that will light up the sky like a fireball and cause mere mortals to quake in terror and fall prostrated onto the ground. In reality it is a rare but normal celestial event and it is cool to be able to see two planets in such close alignment from our vantage point with the naked eye. But the earth-shaking significance some want to place on it? Unless you make a living as an astrologer, give it a rest.

This is why, when watching the live stream, I go "full screen mode" so the comments aren't a distraction. btw What is a "conjuncuion"?

My wife has a friend in Kenya, and he was able to get some stunning pics of it. We had a decent view last night. I do enjoy watching the planets, especially when camping. In those situations, I'm often away from city lights, and the views w/o light pollution can be stunning. Once Jupiter and Saturn initially made a nice formation around the moon with one on 1 side and one on the other, but as the night progressed - both were on the same side and the distance between them shifted. It was fun to watch.

I've fallen prostrate on the ground once or twice after getting lit on Sky and Fireball once or twice.

btw What is a "conjuncuion"? A Typo. You're right! I looked it up. *Conjuncuion Definition: mistake in printed matter resulting from mechanical failures of some kind; : an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material; : the result of what is commonly referred to as "fat fingers"; : a typographical mistake. :Synonym: Typo
*Fake definition. For humorous effect only. Not to be taken seriously or while standing. Some drowsiness may occur, but this has been noted as being related to boredom or not enough sleep.

But the earth-shaking significance some want to place on it? Unless you make a living as an astrologer, give it a rest. A lot of people's faith is shaken when certain events align w/ reminiscent literature. Likewise, observing the day angel and man fall while the ground beneath their feet fans open as they peer at all the starry firmament below them. What comes to mind while observing such events as natural wonders and people's reaction to those wonders.... . as a Protestant I remember the Catholic's warnings about translating sacred Scripture into the tongue of the layman. Lot of people couldn't care less about how to apply proper hermeneutics nor want to know how to understand or interpret literature in the Apocalyptic and Wisdom genres. Yet the modern man who is detached from any such notion of faith snickers, mocks, and scoffs while pointing to others w/ little faith as they fall prostrate before creation. Amazing to me is how such ancient narratives recorded in such way describe celestial events as well as men's reactions repeating throughout history and I suspect always continuing until a climatic epicenter much like the finale at the closing of a 4th of July - when peoples celebrate independence and then depart and scatter each to different places to live all that independence entails. Just when I think there are only so many sunrises and sunsets I can endure as the world turns round, round, and round some heavenly event stirs up in me a reminder that I won't have to endure them all - sweet sweet mercy and grace. Enjoy
