So I received the vaccine, 3 days ago, aside from soreness at the site of injection, mild chills and a small tender lymph node swelling close to injection site, I am still alive. Has anybody here received the vaccine yet ? any side effects ?

Has anybody here received the vaccine yet ? any side effects ? Nada, I'm researching/debating on whether to receive any CV-19 vaccination if ever. Hope ya don't mind me asking some questions... as I assume you may of researched enough to come to your own conclusion. If so I'd like to consider anything you may offer. 1) I'm concerned about the use of fetal cells whether or not clones back from the 70s [matter of moral conscience]. 2) If I may wait until after actually contracting CV-19 does the vaccine help? I ask this because the first vaccine was Sputnik 4 developed by Russia and the vaccine was administered to Putin's daughters. One was infected by CV-19 and her symptoms broke [high fever] following administration of injection w/in 24 hours. 3) I realize that a "preventative vaccine" by definition may indicate that the vaccine should be taken before being infected but if the vaccine is administered while infected does the host demonstrate an increased ability to fight off CV-19? Appreciate any input and hope you feel better soon enough, pallpoul.

The recommendation for post Covid INFECTION, administration of the vaccine is still not too firm on dates, as some may recommend vaccination anywhere from 14-90 days after Covid infection, and symptoms resolutions.
the vaccine is still indicated , even if you have contracted the disease previously. the long term lasting immunity, is not sat in stone , yet, as it is relatively very new and no long term meta analysis are possible.
As to moral issues, that is a personal choice/belief/conviction. It is voluntary decision, well still as of now.
As for why I chose to take it, I am on the very frontline, and deal daily with Covid -19 patients, in the hospital and my office and the ER. The devastation, sever illness, and deaths I have seen the last few months, made me choose to take the risk of the vaccine, versus the risk of falling ill myself. Any thing beside PPE use that may give me advantage, I want it. Plus there is the issue of wanting to lead by example for my patients, and co worker, and not just sit on the side and watch others being my " lab rats'. The last 2-3 months the treatment protocols for Covid patients have evolved, with multiple EUA, by the FDA, we have so many drugs available for those patients, and yes, it has made a significant difference in early treatment, to avoid hospitalizations, shorten it's duration, and saving the patient from the dreaded ventilator.
I am cautiously optimistic, that we will emerge, from this pandemic, maybe by the end of 2021 or early 2022. I am trying to stay alive till then.

Much appreciate your input as well as your act of selflessness in service to others. I imagine quite a few peoples have very few options in the medical field as well as the office of soldier. Be blessed my friend, Shim

I'm hoping the things the military injected in me for over 25 years will help out....some stuff seemed questionable, but you did what you were told. As far as the new stuff....time will tell if it's truly effective. Strange times we all live in no doubt...stay safe and be well Pallpoul, and thank you for what you do out there.

Now you have the tracking nanotechnology in you,,they will know ur every move!! Teehee, only if Bill Gates has lobbyists pushing for his agendas. Like I'm going to trust Microsoft with nano technology in my body when they can't even create a secure online browser for the web.

Say cheese when walking past the next security or traffic camera.

As a point of information, I do not believe every vaccine uses fetal cells for production, and at least one used them for testing but not production. I believe, the Sanofi/GlaxoSmithKline upcoming vaccine does not and has not used them at all. See here for more info: mycatholicdoctor.com/our-services/vaccines/www.mlive.com/coronavirus/2020/12/michigans-catholic-bishops-say-2-covid-19-vaccines-are-ok-morally-but-another-is-problematic.htmlDon't know if this will alter your thinking, but it seems you're interested in getting all the facts.

The now TV defuncted show Person of Interest comes to mind.......cameras watching every move, facial recognition software...maybe not to far fetched after all......maybe it's the Elijah Craig talking...

I’d like to get it soon, but here’s a (Utah) estimate of where I’m at in line (with changing priorities I could be further back now).

The CDC priority has Levels 1a, 1b, 2 and 3; I fall into none of those categories. The estimate is that of about 1.3 million people in Suffolk County, there are 1.1 million ahead of me. (Anyone age 31-64 with no health issues falls into the same category).

I'll have what you're having I doubt any observers care for the office of soldier when denying life in any lesser human developmental stage that the office of soldier protects. Here's to the involuntary lab rats. Bottoms up.

My son’s gf is in healthcare so she got the vaccine. She got a rapid test because she was going on a trip and it came back positive. Has anyone heard about vaccinated people testing positive due to the vaccine?

Has anyone heard about vaccinated people testing positive due to the vaccine? It depends on which test she got, some of the rapid tests can give a false negative (or positive); you also didn't say when she got the test in relation to when she got the vaccine.
