Hope you realize this thread is acient. I have a poor man’s tube amp, the Jolida Integrated JD 502CRC which is rated at 60 watts, I typically use it with my JBL L300 speakers which are 93db rated. This combination can play very loud and sound great so the MC275 should be fantastic. I also use a switch to change from my tube amp to my XPA-1L’s which may not be the best idea but I have not had any issues. I used a homemade switch boxes between my 2channel and HT…NO ISSUES for years. Making that point I am in the process of purchasing an integrated amplifier…i intend to NOT use the switch boxes and manually use both sets of cables. PS…if you are thinking of upgrading from poor man to rich man 😂 I am selling two High End pieces…CONRAD JOHNSON…check out the Emporium.

One important thing to note about using switch boxes with tube amps.
In general solid state amps don't mind being run without a load... regardless of the signal level... but the exact opposite is true for many tube amps... If you turn a tube amp up until it clips, with no speakers connected, you can do permanent damage to the output transformers; you can actually burn them out by causing the internal insulation to break down. (This can be a real problem if you switch sources, forget you don't have the speakers connected to that amp, and "keep turning it up trying to hear something"... so DON'T DO THAT.)
Basically, if you feed a square wave into a transformer, especially with no load, the "flyback effect" can cause VERY high voltage spikes, which can actually exceed the ratings of the transformer's insulation. And, since the output transformers are one of the most expensive parts of most tube amplifiers, and almost impossible to replace on vintage equipment, this is worth avoiding.
This is not something to lose sleep over... just be careful not to let it happen.

CONFIRM that the device has 'break before make' switches. Also? This is not the best idea if you want to include TUBE gear. Tubes need a load. Which means the instant of switching iwth NO load? Potential problem....
