I've been considering upgrading my XMC1 to the XMC2, but the earlier comment regarding an issue with Panasonic Blu-ray players gives me some pause. I have the Panasonic UB820. Can someone please elaborate on these comments? It has to do with pausing a movie for an extended period of time - say you go downstairs to make some popcorn, then come back to the movie. Post in the owner's thread here and someone will give you more details: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/56879/rmc-owners-thread-post-firmwareHowever, does your XMC-1 have the HDMI 2.0 board in it (the V3 board)? Assuming it does, I would wager you would have that problem with the XMC-1 since it's the same board as in the XMC-2, but you haven't encountered it yet since you don't pause your movies long enough to experience it. Meaning in your use case, it wouldn't happen so definitely not something to worry about for the XMC-2. And if you did encounter it, there are 2 easy workarounds - 1) I don't recall what it was, something like switching away and back or some such deal, 2) just don't pause it for a long period of time, hit the stop button instead.
