XMC-2 Height Speaker Challenges with tone test

I have the XMC-2 (received today)along with the XPA Gen 3 7 channel(also received today). I also have a Rotel RKB-8100 V3. I currently have 5.1.4 with a total of 4 subwoofers that will be directly hooked up into a minidsp. The 7 channel at this point in time has the the left and right front, center(soon to get its own singe channel amp) both the right and left surrounds plugged into it. I put all my atmos height speakers on the Rotel. When I enter settings in the XM-2 and head to speaker setup and tones when I get to the Rear Right height and Left Right height I get no tone as if the speakers are not connected, however and this is what's killing me, when I head over to Front Left Heights the fricken Rear Left height channel plays a tone and when I select Right Front the Rear Right height channel plays a tone. I tripple checked the rotel and that the RCA's to XLR's where in the correct corresponding and proper location and they are! The switches on the Rotel are all on Stereo not Link. The speaker wire tests good. Any ideas, oh and they are not turned off in settings too.

OMG I actually figured it out!!! My apologies as again I am super new to this type of set up (separates). I was actually off by one input!! the first RCA left and right is actually for the pre amp out (as I since learned to daisy chain) and when I moved the speakers over one channel BOOM they started to work properly!!! So stoked!
