I have a front placed pair of Paradigm Monitor 9 v.6. A B&W center channel CDM CNT, 2 rear B&W DM602 S2 rear speakers and a B&W SUBWOOFER ASW1000.
I was thinking about getting rid of these and buying: 4 Airmotiv T2+ Pair Floorstanding Tower Loudspeakers for the fronts and rears. A Airmotiv C1+ for the center channel, a Airmotiv SE12 12" Flex Subwoofer and Airmotiv E2+ Surround Loudspeaker Pair. Are these any good compared to what I have now? Remember my B&W and my Paradigm are somewhat old. My real pause is that this group of Emotiva speakers is exceptionally inexpensive (are they also cheap)? Plus I bought my Emotiva amp and processor in Oct. 2020 and have already sent one in for service.
So, advice……..keep all or part of what I have, buy all or part of what I’m looking at?
Thoughts?

Well as I tell everyone. More often than not. No one here really knows what you want. Only you know what your best steps are and affirmation is about all you would get from here. Which may not be that valuable to you. So here is how my thought process goes. Firstly, why do you want to change your speakers in the first place? What elements do you enjoy about the speakers you have currently? What are your expectations going with say all Emotiva Speakers or anyone else's for that matter? Tell some about your listening room. What is your equipment complement? You mentioned a couple of Emotiva pieces. Which ones? Sources? Display method? Flat panel, front projection? I know B&W very well especially the series you have. I sold them for over 10 years. What have been addressed if any on room treatment, or speaker placement? Most think casually that automatic room correction fixes it all and if it doesn't, speakers need to be replaced. Silly but true, and expensive and they keep doing it never really getting what they think they want. So what happens is you fall into the trap of everyone name dropping, and suggesting this and that which is really zero value to you because they know less than you do what you may want. So I go to basics. All the above I mentioned, room acoustics, speaker placement, proper crossover utilization and level matching and delays. Do you need 1 or 2 subwoofers for your listening room due to nodal or null issues. Is your room causing your speakers to sound less than they can. Placement and treatment come into play here too. I am willing to bet that proper base lining everything which is fairly low in cost to practically free is your best next action first. This will facilitate where you truly are and the next steps. Most likely again will you need to treat the room some, properly adjust the speaker setting basics, not just what automatic room correction think is right in an ill treated or prepared room. Because if you go that route, you'll get someone else's speakers have different issues and be happy with some other elements but lacking still in others. You just keep burning money and never really getting the performance you deserve and want. Speaker system and your room work in concert to get you where you need to be, never just speakers alone. I have done audio 50 years plus and more often than not, tuning and adjustments made more sense than wholly changing the speaker system. It is your hard earned money. Look at your listening system including your room in synergy, working together first. You may discover your system as rewarding again for the first time, just doing some fundamental adjustments, or tuning. If you need a different subwoofer, or go to 2 subwoofers or a different speaker path after adjustments and tuning your environment, you are more apt to know what is appropriate in your next steps. There are professionals that can help tune your system and room for an hourly fee, or give consultation on what you have and your current state of speaker to room tune relationships if you are not able or comfortable doing that. My hope is that you don't blindly accept changing this and that from others as the easy way that never by itself buys you your sonic nirvana. No one here could tell you what speaker system to buy, as to what wife to marry. Corny line, but true. You'll notice my post is not a one liner suggestion that does you no service, but a thoughtful suggestion to have you fully assess where your room to speaker relationship is first. Jotting down some easy notes and details where you are currently and what you would like different. That is you, and no one else. I happen to like the speakers you have and the direction you are thinking, maybe the T2+ and so on, but I also know that me, and no one else here really knows your room, your personal likes and things you want differently based again on the above criteria I shared. Find out those first, and you will be in much shape to determine your next steps.

The T2's are one of the best speakers I've heard. I'm very picky with speakers. It's something that I would put in my system, long term. Where it excels is that it is very fast and has a ton of detail. The bass extension is also really surprising. Just keep in mind these speakers are a lot smaller than you would expect and you would be surprised at how much it can belt out Now, it depends on your room.... some people have said that it sounded like it had too much bass. I didn't think it was at all that way and the bass was really excellent so I suspect that is a room issue.

Hi Dreamer - What you have now is absolutely no slouch. Would having identically "voiced" speakers enhance your surround experience? Maybe, but since I'm not a surround listener (and have never had a brand-matched surround speaker set in my home, other than a review set of economy Emotivas - see that review here), I couldn't say. Were you to hear any improvement, I suspect it would be small, but this is speculation on my part, and the difference could be huge. If you do opt to try the Emotivas, please let us know what you think! Cordially, Boomzilla
