I’m considering buying a Nucleus but is the XMC-2 compatible & what is the best way to connect it? Thanks I use Roon, but not the Nucleus. From what I understand, you can run USB out to an XMC-2 or HDMI out. For me, I'd consider USB, but it's easy enough to try both. But - I have to ask...why the Roon Nucleus? They are pretty pricey, and you can run Roon Core on a lot of different computers. I use a very cheap old Dell (cost me <$300), and then I have other Roon options around the house including a Sonore Ultrarendu (GREAT sound) and 2 Raspberry Pi's. I have less $ in my multizone system than I would have in 1 Nucleus. And, I am picky on sound and they all sound great. Mark

Thanks for the response. It is pricey and I'm also considering the DIY route. My work schedule is demanding at the moment (healthcare) and it's been a while since I've done work with a computer. But it is very pricey. Appreciate your insight.

I decided to go with the uRendu but having some difficulty. I am trying to connect it to the XMC. When configuring the device the only Emotiva product listed was the RMC-1, so I chose that. I believe I have configured the uRendu correctly but I am getting no sound and it tries to play every song in the queue giving each about 1/2 sec before moving to the next. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Turn the XMC on before turning on the UltraRendu. I was just recalling I had that issue when I used the XMC-2's internal DAC instead of my external DAC. When I started the UltraRendu after the XMC-2...all was fine. If the XMC-2 started after the UltraRendu, I got the behavior you describe. Mark

Here's a response I just sent to another user here who is having an issue w/the Nucleus, but it may be the same issue as I had w/my UltraRendu: EDIT: The link as quoted above does not work...here's a direct link: -->CLICK HERE<--Mark
