I haven 't run Dirac in awhile and since I have new T2s, I need to. I loaded Dirac on to my new PC running Windows 10 and I get all kinds of errors, lock ups, it gets a few test positions in and locks up or crashes. Has something changed? What the heck is going on? I tried it on the old PC and I got a little further before it locked up too...

Same firmware version on the XMC-1 as the last time you ran Dirac?

Try a looking for recent posts from XMC-1 owners having issues with Dirac in the last couple weeks, several that I know of have posted issues.

I got it to run a single point (sweet spot) and saved it, but it failed on the download. Gave this message - "Device Load Error: Calibration Data Processing Failed"

I just want to make certain of a couple of things, what is the version of Dirac you have installed and from where was it downloaded? edit: This is the page at Emotiva specifically for the Dirac version for the XMC-1: Dirac Live Full for Emotiva XMC-1 I don't see a download link for the app, so I guess the process starts with supplying info to Emotiva and getting the link in an email. I no longer have Dirac Live Full saved on my computer. Also, are you using Mac or PC?

I had a good phone call with Damon and the 1st thing we checked was the Version (1.1.0) - on Windows 10. It sounds like I was doing everything right, but with the older Dirac version on the XMC-1 there sometimes are issues with network clogging, etc. that cause issues. There are other instances where people get 3-4 measurements done then it stalls. He said to save it every few positions so if it crashes I can go back and pull up the saved project and start there. Also, I am going to get a long ethernet cable and run it from the upstairs to the XMC-1. We think that might help vs the Iomega wireless bridge I am currently using. Also, while we were talking I pulled up the single point test I saved and tried again to create filters and it worked! I'm gonna try to do multiple mic locations later, but at least I have one project saved that I can fiddle with. Thanks to Damon for taking the time to help!

I do recall not being able to use wifi with my computer even though the router was not far away. A wired connection from the computer always worked with Dirac and my XMC-1. With the XMC-2 I'm able to use wifi from my computer without any issues, but I think it's due to how the different version of Dirac operates.

Damon said the new version on the XMC-2 is a bit more intuitive and robust, which you would expect on the next generation.

My Dirac has never crashed. I guess it’s because after six and one half years I never ran it ( but the BLUE m&ms were DELICIOUS)

Update... I got it to run all 9 measurements and downloaded the filters. It seems that my network using an internet bridge is just not robust enough to run it consistently. I did not run the long ethernet cable yet, but I did turn off the Windows firewall and my squeezebox server - maybe that helped. It did slow down and not respond once. I saved where I was, closed it, reopened it and continued successfully. Since then I've been listening to all my old go to music & movies. Everything sounds really really good. Im so glad to have Dirac working with these new speakers - makes all the difference in the world.

I only disabled the Windows Firewall so Dirac could start and see the XMC-1, then re-enabled the firewall. This only needed about ten seconds of disabled firewall.

I was having hang ups and delays while running, so I left the firewall off the entire time. I was just going by the advice Damon provided. I still think it will work better when I have the XMC-1 hardwired to the router.

So I’ve been listening for a month or so with the Dirac filters I loaded and have no desire to rerun or change anything at this point. All is good! Sounds fantastic!
