So my ERC-1 will no longer eject my disk and we downsized to a Condo where all my 600+ CDs are stuffed 3 layers deep in cabinets. I am now thinking I need a strategy to RIP, Store and stream. This product seems to fit the bill to a T and also includes integration to Tidal, Amazon, Qubuz et cetera.
I did not see any other threads on this product that combines all the needs into one solution. I called Emotiva to see if they were going to get into this market and I did not get the impression that this was on the horizon and they told me about the BlueSound Vault 2i. It takes about 6 minutes to rip and FLAC is the default format.
Thoughts out there?

Works well, easy rips to FLAC and other optional formats. I never had a problem with it or any of the other BlueSound components that I own.

I just ripped my CDs myself on my Mac, then copied the files over to an external HDD and attached that to a server running Plex. That way I can listen to my lossless music anywhere I want and best of all since I already had the Mac and HDD it was no extra cost.

The Node 2i is a value streamer. The PC (or phone)app is poor at best. The internal DAC is OK, but overall sound quality is pretty good. I use mine a majority of the time for streaming and accessing my local library.

The Node has just been updated. I imagine the Vault soon will be.

So the files are on my Plex server, which as I mentioned can be accessed with any Plex player. To listen on my XMC-2, I use the Plex app on an Nvidia Shield but my neighbor uses the Plex app on his Chromecast TV. Either way it uses the DACs in your XMC-2 (or XMC-1/RMC-1/RMC-1L) to play the sound, which is a good thing! Jamie

I do not own a Vault, but I do own a Node 2i and it performs very well. I have it coupled with a NAS that has my Roon core and local library along with subscriptions to Tidal and Qobuz. I am very pleased. I consider myself entry level when it comes to DACs and the Bluesound products give you a lot of bang for your buck. It satisfied all my needs and I think you will be very happy.
