I have a PT-100 -- works great with Parasound poweramp.
If I keep the volume control low, can I connect it to the Aux input of a Fisher 400 ? Obviously this is not a standard setup, and there would prob be some mis-match with impedence ...
I don't want to damage either component ..
Does anyone know the max output voltage of this preamp ? I see a spec of 4 VRMS listed under Analog Performance -- maybe this is the number ?

That should work fine, you’d probably want to adjust the volume on the Fisher down a bit to compensate for the extra preamp gain. Just experiment until it sounds and works best with the volume range on the PT-100 and doesn’t distort. I don’t know the spec, but I wouldn’t worry about it, you won’t likely hurt anything.

Does that old receiver have RCA outs, like a tape loop?

Thx for replies --
I now have the PT-100 feeding the aux of the Fisher 400. Volume of Fisher set at about 1 o'clock..The preamp volume level is at 56 (Don't know how high it goes..) I must say, the phono in the Emo is wonderful .. listening to Marshall Crenshaw on an AR turntable .. - fablous to have remote control ability and the fabulous sound of this wonderful tube unit... a great combo -- going to connect the squeezebox and HD tuner to the Emo, and eventually will get dvd/cd player to the DAC via coax..
Given the age of the Fisher (1964), I wanted to be sure there were no 'gotchas' which might might brick the Fisher... the sound says it all !
