The “medium” matters not when you TRULY love 💕 Music and those artists who devote their lives to delivering it. Sure, I always have an eye out for bringing it home the best way I can and I find streaming a great way to stay inspired, especially when you consider what happens if you just flip on the radio and walk away. Usually, this is all separate from preparing to kick back and get lost in a serious recording

I wonder about Andrew. Sometimes he seems to not have all his connections in place. I don't bother watching him anymore as his value to me is zero. Hey my opinion so deal with it. Streaming is an excellent way for inspiration on getting keepers for life or well, I heard it and we move on. Streaming has made getting to largest catalogs of music so easy. Practically free too. What's not to like? How and where you get your music is your deal. But as a convenience and being cross platform are things you can't ignore. Streaming Tidal over my Samsung AU8000 for giggles as I type this. I also enjoy Spotify and Qobuz too, and more. We live in times where anything entertainment is easy to get. Got a connection? Go get it!

If video wasn’t attached to this latest one, I don’t think I would have realized it was the same person.

I see few, if any, of you watched the video you are commenting on. Proves Andrew right in at least one respect… some won’t make it past the first 60 seconds to get to the “real” message…

I see few, if any, of you watched the video you are commenting on. Can’t speak for any of the few who commented (nor would I). To be fair, I went back and endured the rest of it after finding no interest in the intro. After that, I was assured my initial comments were right on the money.

The great news is that as in most any situation in life, we have choices. Stream, vinyl, CDs, radio, cassette tape, 8 track, etc. Pick whatever suits your taste. Everything changes, some change is good and some not so much. But that of course depends on the person and their perspective, needs, etc. Yes there are "experts" or at least so called "experts" in every field but at the end of the day, their opinion is still just their opinion based on their knowledge, interpretation, etc. Bottom line is what sounds good to my ears, what's convenient to me, what can I afford, what do I have time for, blah blah blah.... is what I'll choose.

Good example of why I don't watch his vids for a long time. Even Kristi pointed out that when they do this type of non-obvious "comedy" that they loose viewers early in the video. He chooses to keep harping on "the opposite" for many times longer than is needed to make a point. I only watched to see what you guys were talking about. So there's one minute of actual commentary from Andrew, and the rest is "comedy" and Kristi, who I find is funnier than Andrew. Andrew has never been funny, it's all her.
I have one word for Andrew, Editing.
Now back to my usual routine.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I still enjoy him. Wish I traded a few more jokes when he was one of us. He seemed so young then! lol

I see few, if any, of you watched the video you are commenting on. I think you are right. Or his point just zoomed way over those people's heads. What Kristi said in her "weigh in" was right on point and as she talked I thought about all the silly arguments that take place right here in the lounge: Vinyl versus digital, tubes versus solid state, brand A versus brand B, etc. in which people argue endlessly about something that has no right answer. And if you like tubes, who cares? Or if you like solid state, who cares? That's your business so why should I try and intrude upon that? But all the stuff that Andrew and Kristi were making fun of in that video, I sure do see it all the time in this Lounge. Plain as day. If there was only one "right" way to enjoy music then why are there all these different ways? Heck, if you enjoy MQA then that's fine too.

This is how Keith Emerson setup his Moog synth. This isn't the "right" way, is it? It's his way. It's one way. There are many ways, just look at all the unused patch locations left. Like you say, there are all these different ways to enjoy this stuff. I agree!

The Moog went down off the stage on an elevator so the techs could change patches and send it back up.
