One of my all time favourites passed away today, I have been to many of his concerts, saw him whenever he came to Australia. Thanks for the music Marvin, you will be much missed. Gary

Wow… I think I wore the grooves out on this record. A true classic. Rest In Peace and thanks for the music…

RIP Meatloaf
Great music! He has a once in several lifetimes story of how he was "involved" in the JFK Assassination aftermath when he was a youth. He was also a very good actor.

I read it this morning. Musicians I knew from my childhood are getting to that age...

RIP....wow, you know it's going to happen eventually, but it still hits like a tone of bricks.

The combination of Meatloaf and Jim Steinman was one of those combinations that was magical.

It's interesting to note that he only got into performing after showing up for a job parking cars. He argued that he could make more money parking cars than what was being offered to perform. The fateful decision was made to perform.

I put him on last night, loud. As a singer, he always brought it, he sang each song like he meant every word and it would be the last he would ever sing.

I saw him about 30 years ago at a really small venue in Calgary Alberta (home town). The voice... Wow. The Energy output from him in a 2 hour + show.... amazing, was still a rather large man at that point. I figured there was no way he would survive that show. Its to bad that every project took a long time to be released. But I guess that time was put to good use to give us all some amazing songs. Both of my kids can sing a long to basically his entire catalog as Meatloaf was a regular on the weekend playlist. And now I make sure that the crew outside in the smoking tent gets a good dose every morning. Its great once your kids are grown and you can spend a little disposable income on yourself. I love my car stereo now.
