Subscribed. I need help also. My issue is, freakin mono blocks, I have 5, a stereo amp and 2 subs, so for a 5.2.2 that's 9 XLR outs! This isnt too bad, you could just bundle your XLRs together, some more split loom for your ethernet and speaker wires. The pain is that you'd have to unplug everything and straighten it all before you could do it, really no need unless you're OCD

We are likely to get new carpet in the family room (home theater) this summer, so I will tidy up all the cables when I put everything back.

“Not mine, but I use similar velcro strips on my setup; makes it easy to change components, move things, etc.” I am GLAD you said that gear AIN’T yours….so, you’ll forgive me if I poke a bit of fun! The Velcro is great but those ludicrous wires in that picture!! I would be completely embarrassed to even admit they were mine.… Or, I could say to the internet world “Hey I bent over and grabbed my ankles and just LOOK 👀 what happened!”

I'm in agreement with the wire comment, my humble opinion, copper is copper. I feel that all that is needed is a well shielded cable from a reputable company; that is why I mainly use Canare and Mogami. If those brands are good enough for the recording studios, then it's good enough for me. I chose Pangea for power cables because by the time I purchased good shielded 14awg cable and picked up decent IEC and NEMA connectors I would have been at the price point that I paid for the Pangea cables. But yea... no need to go crazy with boutique cables that simply drain your wallet.

I'll be starting from scratch in a few weeks when the theater is ready to be set up. So what should basic routing be? Power up one leg of the rack, interconnects up another leg?. Speaker wires with Interconnects? All LV cables cross power cables a right angles?
Power sources will be two separate 20A circuits using a CMX-2, a CMX-6 and a Panamax M5300-PM.
Going from memory here and not sure what the professional consensus is. Appreciate your learned advice!

I try to keep cables neat and try to separate power and signal cables, but mostly work to hide them. However I label both ends of every cable including power cables for if and when I need to unplug something.

I'm a bird's nest fan myself. No OCD here.
