I made that same stupid remark the other day after gutting my entire 5.2 system, all done I said, no more nothing, that is it, blah, blah, blah... And what am I doing tonight? Well, looking at new gear of course, already dropped $400 on a power supply for my Mac Mini to help clean up the sound going into that Cambridge streamer. Hell, I'll probably be buying a new streamer in a few weeks, and this thing already beat the snout out of a $1300 Schiit Gungnir DAC. OY! You may wish to rethink that power supply after you get it. Tell me your thoughts.

I hope I’m not Popping any Bubbles but has the room been fully treated? 🤫 Lol nah I never put it in my car either when I was a car audio aficionado.

You may wish to rethink that power supply after you get it. Tell me your thoughts. Well, after exploring this matter for awhile, reading the pros and cons from many users at Audiophile Style and Roon, I concluded by listening to tracks up to 192khz that the stock power supply isn’t contributing any audible noise or obscuring any detail. My system is very revealing, as my equipment list shows, and I’d easily spend the money if I thought it would matter. Just suggesting you do a careful listening test before shelling out. Here's a relevant link from ASR fwiw: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/is-their-any-evidence-that-the-smps-in-a-mac-mini-audibly-degrades-sound-quality.5975/Best,

Time To Celebrate,I Finally Reached The End Of My Audiophile Journey. It Has Been 14 Years In The Making. So Much Buying And Selling.I Am Finally Completely Satisfied With My System. I Find It Quite Humorous That The Last Piece Of The Satisfaction Puzzle Was A Transport, but It Certainly Did Make All The Differance. View AttachmentView AttachmentView AttachmentView AttachmentFor sure those Cornwalls are the foundation of what has you content (is there a sub/subs in there.?) Except for Johnny Cash flipping the bird, I could live with that!

One thing often overlooked about SMPS' is that their high switching rate puts power supply noise well above the audio band, whilst linear supplies put out 50/60 Hz and 100/120 Hz tones and harmonics so right into the lower midrange. SMPS are also very tightly regulated by design, and have soft-start circuits and such built in. Also smaller and more efficient, natch.

Thank you, I did some research, a bit deeper research, and I came to the same conclusion, waste of money, order canceled. Good call.
