Thought some of you might find this interesting. It's the Wall Street Journal review of the book, The Perfect Sound: A Memoir in Stereo. Below is the description from the email I received about it. Play It Again: Some people like music as background, as sonic wallpaper; some listen with their eyes closed and allow the sounds to transport them. Garrett Hongo, a poetry professor and lifelong music aficionado, has spent the past few decades searching for the perfect hi-fi system—a search that involves learning about different kinds of tubes, transformers and circuit designs. As the author tries to connect dozens of audio cables in different configurations, he is also reconnecting to memories of his departed father, and to parts of his childhood.

I'm not sure the website said this is the free link. www.wsj.com/articles/the-perfect-sound-audiophile-turntable-stereo-music-review-quest-for-a-groove-11650034142?st=68adzpfk76ge1sk&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink
