I did a factory reset the first time it happened. I will try that again. Firmware 3.2. Since I have unplugged Ins and Outs during "standby" (manual standby, hee hee). I have not had any problems, that I can tell. The only issue (when I cold reboot) is that the signal from my HTPC says Dolby Atmos IN, but PCM is OUT. I use all stereo to get any kind of surround. Thanks for your responses R So the incoming stream to the processor is shown as Atmos and it's playing PCM? Very odd. I assume you tried the different Surround modes on the processor.

The only issue (when I cold reboot) is that the signal from my HTPC says Dolby Atmos IN, but PCM is OUT. Please see the attached photo from my system which shows the incoming Audio stream to be DD TRUEHD, and the outbound audio to be ATMOS. But you are saying that your incoming Audio stream on the middle line of info is ATMOS? Please confirm if I am reading your post correctly or not.

My RMC-1 (first HDMI board Gen) with FW 3.1.2, I have almost no issues with it - its solid working, and very rare pops/clicks, mainly in the context of DSD Playback or other hard Format switches. Sometimes (after 1-2 month of useage), mostly after changing something in the Setup menu, it got stuck, and a reboot is needed. My observation is, that the less I touch the Setup Menu, the more stable it gets. anyway, its now 5 yrs old and its about time to get a new one.

Hello - just checked my current firmware and looks like I have 2.3 version. Whats the latest firmware ? What am I missing? If there has been multiple updates - can I just download the latest and good to go or do I have to upgrade one upgrade at a time?

Hello - just checked my current firmware and looks like I have 2.3 version. Whats the latest firmware ? What am I missing? If there has been multiple updates - can I just download the latest and good to go or do I have to upgrade one upgrade at a time? 3.2 is the most current version of the firmware for the RMC-1/RMC-1L/XMC-2. You can find the forum's dedicated "Firmware" page HERE. This section of the forum will always contain the most recent "official" firmware releases. You can go straight from 2.3 > 3.2 without needing to install any version(s) between them, but just be aware that you cannot go from any version of the " 3.xx" firmware back to " 2.xx". You can, however, downgrade 3.2 (the newest) to any version of 3.xx that came before it. You just can't downgrade to any of the earlier versions predating "3". Hope that makes sense...

I have it. Pretty easy to use and add to Dirac. I think it sounds better but I am not an expert. $250 better? Thats a loaded question. For me, yes. For you and everyone else, who knows. I was able to find some issues in my system using their calibration disc and I think my system sounds better. But I am not an expert with REW and I don’t have time to learn it. So my time savings is worth something and these products saved me time and had a positive result. I also view this as I have a lot of money tied up in my system so if there are reasonably priced things I can do to get an improved experience it’s worth it. But I know some have tighter budgets so it probably wouldn’t be worth it to them. Not the greatest response but its a hard question to answer.

I could use some help.RMC1L will not fire up. All it does is spin saying RMC starting. I turned the power switch off, nothing. Then I unplugged the RMC, plugged back in, and it's doing the same thing.

Sometimes it helps.
