The front page of the Metro Section of the Baton Rouge Advocate newspaper on Tuesday, August 1 features a photo of our own garbulky playing his guitar at a local park. [/center] The recognition is well deserved - garbulky is an AMAZING guitarist (he also plays ukulele, drums, horns, and a half a dozen other instruments). And kudos to garbulky! That being said, a sad and stark contradiction lies within that second picture. There with all the beauty of that park is a woman lost in space on her cell phone, (not pictured, but quite obvious.) Totally oblivious to the world around her and all of its beauty. I see that image every week when I do my park walking for exercise in New York in northern Westchester. We also have a beautiful park where I get lost for about an hour and a half. The only negative that ever pops up are those people (just like that woman) sometimes loud and obnoxious with their heads buried in their personal device where the beauty of the world around is lost to them. No worries I never let that throw water on my party! |

Fabulous! Love the photos, was there a story to go with them? Maybe just people enjoying the outdoors ... Would love to hear him play! 🎸 Thanks for sharing! Great photos, with my fav being the third one! I agree, though nice to see his face in the first shot, the silhouette is very dramatic (and as a fellow guitar player I can appreciate staying in tune). |

Though I can't see it well, from the peghead it looks like a nylon string 'classical' style guitar, is that what he plays?
