Using the digital outputs from the Wiim, the Pro and Pro+ will be the same. The Pro+ Just has a better dac inside if you wanted to use it that way. So just get the Pro and try it for 30 days, if it's not better than what you have, just return it,simple.

Apologies if this question is too silly: can I connect my computer to the xda and use my smartphone as a remote? It would be great to access my hard drive's music files. If yes, how would this be possible? (In my case I'd be usin mac devices) Thank you so much in advance!

I'll also pile-on for the Wiim, I have 3 Pro Plus and one Wiim Amp, all setup in different rooms in the house. We like to turn on all the various systems and just link them together for synchronized playback. It's a great way to put you in a good mood on a Friday after a hard week.
I love the seamless integration of home NAS, Amazon Music and Pandora, the way you can make playlists across a variety of sources all playing without a hitch. I'm likely to add a couple more for the rooms that don't have it

WiiM Ultra or the new BlueSound streamers look good.
