What is the max atmos processed channel count?
Will there be the ability to utilize a digital out to external dac for either a preferred l/r application or subs? I imagine this would not simply add 2 more channels to the processing maximum number of channels.
Will there be an option to swap over to a vog and center screen height channel with dts:x pro and imax enhanced. Will this be at a cost to the max atmos layout potential?
DLBC maximum subwoofer # support..
Future ART plans?

Good luck for tomorrow and I hope it's a great day all round. I suspect the absolute crazy work load and long nights you guys have had to get the new processors ready and put on this open day have been exhausting. I raise a glass to you guys 😁 I think everyone will ask my tech questions anyway so.... My question is Are the events being video recorded tomorrow ? If not - and I can easily understand why they won't be just because everyone is flat out - maybe you could leave the demonstrations in tact after the festival day is over and create guided video walk throughs with discussions done later.
On this marketing/ launch subject ( and maybe only consider this after some sleep when you do a debrief of the Emofest day maybe) another question/suggestion. Have you considered an actual doco style longer form video on the birth of the G4P processor? I know I know...everyone in the audio business is paranoid about security and IP around products with good reason. But within that framework I see a really compelling story here. A small audio manufacturer's effort to take on the giants; the stress, setbacks, financial gambles, aspirations, and vision. All the highs and lows of a small boutique manufacturer in today's global economy. Then there's the customers - their audio and home theatre stories; their homes and family stories; their brand loyalty and their frustrations. I think it's worth considering and definitely worth the effort.
There are so many people who produce on YouTube with massive followings with far less of a story to tell. The restoration of a small French Chateau by a guy and his few friends - over half a million subscribers worldwide! I'm pretty sure this hasn't been attempted in the audio world yet and I get all the good reasons why. But I've watched the transformations in other industries and there's no doubt this approach can succeed. Another example I know well - UK Rugby has always had a relatively small fanbase which traditionally consisted of the beer drinking fat guys at the pub and private school chaps in blazers. That's all changed in the last few years with family-friendly grounds, a new playing code to eliminate foul play excesses, and kids running all over the pitches at half time in the major games. Part of that push is the production of behind-the-scenes docos and YouTube videos by the Rugby Union and the individual clubs. This has resulted in sold out grounds and maybe - just maybe - the code will survive the current economic down turns. The point is the YouTube videos and docos are watched by huge numbers and provide fans with connections and access which builds brand loyalty and develops new fans worldwide. This hasn't happened in Audio but it could. There were many "in the establishment" of English Rugby who hated the idea of transformation of their sport. But it's worked. Emotiva has a history of innovation and breaking the mould of how audio companies see themselves. Why not tell the story ? With the upcoming launch of the G4P, there is a perfect opportunity to start this journey. Emotiva and it's loyal fanbase has a great story to tell, so I'd like someone to ask the crew tomorrow to consider telling that story.

PS to all...after it's over, I'm planning to post a thread..."klinemj's 2024 Emofest Notes". In it, we'll have notes and pix of noteworthy things...including answers to questions people asked here. Once it's live, you can ask follow-up questions there.

I read the notes. Very exciting! A couple of follow ups maybe you guys could elaborate on. It sounds like only 2 channel bay expansions are necessary to max out atmos. Would a 3rd have any other use? Could the 3rd bay work with other dts:x pro layouts such as the front center height channel? Also the question about using a digital out for l/r or sub.. If I were to use an outboard dac instead of the internal dac could the internal l/r be reassigned to say those dts/imax specific speakers? Where have you found any info

This seems a bit fragmented, maybe a suggestion to keep this thread more ‘social’ for those attending to post pics of get togethers and people, and klinemj’s thread be designated for technical info and questions?

I'd suggest just keeping it all in the notes thread...otherwise, both will proliferate with questions/debate/etc. Mark
