For $10K each they SHOULD be outstanding. Kind of the anti-emotivas! I'll go ahead and take the Emotiva ERT-8.3's with two XPA-1's for $3396, thank you. (don't laugh, you might be surprised) Now, what to do with the extra $16,604? ;D

Waste of money and heavily overpriced, I've done the exotic speaker route for years, and find nothing beats a solid pair of moderately priced well designed monitors with a pair of well designed and incorperated subs.

i don't know what it is about the palladiums, but i just am crazy for them. seriously considered trying to hear a pair of the 37's as they were about in the price range i was looking for. but after my ML vantages, i really wanted a full range speaker. they sure are pretty though. and i love the zebra striped grain personally, but would agree it's not for everyone. great initial reviews too.

I was also looking at the P-37's they seem pretty nice. Also remember you guys are all looking at MSRP. Street prices for speakers like this usually go for a lot less...

Has anyone heard these? If so thoughts? I heard they cost too much money for what you get. At 15000 a pair... I'd get a couple used ML Spires and a pair of Pass Labs Monoblocks and blow them out of the water.

Why should that matter? lol because most people who make those statements have never heard/tried the product mentioned.

Waste of money and heavily overpriced, I've done the exotic speaker route for years, and find nothing beats a solid pair of moderately priced well designed monitors with a pair of well designed and incorperated subs. have you heard them? Ive actually heard 2 pairs of them. One set powered by a pair of BAT tube monoblocks and a ML reference CD player, another with a set of Aleph monoblocks and a Wadia DAC and CD transport. They sounded "OK" but Ive heard so much better for thousands less. They to me are not worth anywhere near their retail asking price. Like all speakers they have rediculous markup and in the case of these speakers it is rediculous. There is less than $1000 worth of materials and components to build a pair of these. There are so many other full towers and especially monitors out on the market that sound better with better design and craftsmanship and for thousands less. In the 10 years I was in the A/V industry I have probably spent time listening to and setting up in excess of $10 million dollars worth of equipment. It takes a serious well designed AV gear to really impress me. Thats why its refreshing to see a company like Emotiva come along and build some quality sounding AV gear(their amps specifically) for reasonable money.

i can only think that they would be mind blowing , remembering that they come from a company who has made one of the best sounding speakers in the world for over 60 years , i would love to be able to shell out in the teens for a pair, i am jelous of anyone who has these bad boys.

but i will take the extra booze chuckie....lol My Irish/British genes have to agree with you Tsalter9, but my cardiologist said no booze due to my heart arrhythmia. (He didn't say anything about aerobic activity!) ;D I'm sure these Klipsch Pandemoniums are great. I used to own a pair of Altec Lansing 846U (Voice of the Theater components in a home cabinet). There is a lot to be said for the realism of ultimate dynamic range. This is one reason I love my new Emotiva speakers. Very few speakers in this price range and size are fairly efficient 4 ohm speakers that will take the power of my Emo amp and still remain ultra clean at very high output. No they won't fill a gym like my Altecs would but they do fill my home. ;D

Went in to listen yesterday....they had just sold their pair. I did listen to a pair of Focal Utopia's!!!!! WOW! Those are awesome speakers...and they should be for ~$25K. I could get them for just over $10K (they are cosmetically damaged) and probably will ...... just as soon as I win the lottery. Listened to a pair of Wilsons and Maggie 1.6's too. For the money.....I could be a new Magnepan fan. Wish I could have heard the 3.6's!
