very nice setups. i can see why they made white panels : more WAF ! btw aren't those 1.6's too close to rear wall ?

very nice setups. i can see why they made white panels : more WAF ! btw aren't those 1.6's too close to rear wall ? lol..yup..all of my Magnepans since the very first pair..Tympani 1D's , back in the 70's, have been that same color of fabric. I had to special order the 1.7's in that fabric and the wood trim..standard is black fabric with aluminum side trim now. I like the ivory color against the blue carpeting in both rooms, and I guess, after all these years, that color just looks more "Magnepan" to me. The 1.6's are about two and a half feet from the back wall...more would be better, but there are practical considerations in that bedroom. Those 1.6's were in the living room for 10 years, until I bought the 1.7's. Rather than trade the 1.6's in, or sell them, I decided to keep them and use them in the bedroom. I love the sound of Magnepans , and even positioned the way they are, they still sound magnificent. A nice sound to wake up to every morning...beats the heck out of a clock radio.  |
