I currently have the Definitive Technology center channel model 2002! I like the sound but I wanted a 3 way speaker.... I have right now at home the Rocket RSC200 and do not like it as he voices are way too low and one hast to blast the volume in order to hear the voices. This one is headed back to AV123! On the other the hand the Def Tech is great at reproducing the voices! To my question.... Will the ERM 6.3 have same sound as the Def Tech or better? How about the voices(dialogue)?
Thanks

Thanks why do you need a three way speaker? and what are brand are your mains? Def Tech makes a very different sounding speaker than Emotiva. No one can tell you if one is better than the other, thats entirely your own decision. They are just two different sounding speakers so its hard to compare.

have you calibrated your system? I have never heard that problem about the rsc200 i have heard people say it can be a little chesty, although i found it to be a nice center. I imagine it just will vary from setup to setup, room to room.

I wonder if the "chesty" sound came from the speaker being placed in a shelf or cabinet? the rear ports would suffer.

On the other note - dialogue from the 6.3 is superb.

I don't have the 2002... I have the BP10s with C2000 (been a while, maybe it's the 2002?). I used to really like them for movies. I had a couple issues with them: - dialogue panning would dramatically change when they hit the BP10s. Sounded like they were down a hallway (echo, due to the bipolar nature) - I had to keep my center channel turned up louder than the rest of my speakers to clearly hear the dialogue.
I still have the Def Tech setup in my wife's exercise room and they sound good, but not the same caliber as the Emos. Nothing against the Definitive speakers... but given a choice, I'd take my Emos any day... To me the vocal accuracy is perfect... and they sound better with music too I think.
Good luck!
