When I got home from work yesterday my wife said, "I checked out the Emotiva web site today and saw the sale they are having on speakers. They are really beautiful! Do we need any speakers?" So to anyone who thinks the Emotiva design aesthetic does not have WAF, I can say they do to at least one.

Wow - my wife always points out that I "already have one of those things" when it comes to any stereo equipment.

Check out the picture I posted on the thread about the black trim pieces now available. My Magnepans pictures in the post, I had to convince my wife that I needed them and it took some time before she agreed.

I have found that some audiophile speakers go beyond gaudy. I appreciate Emotiva's speaker design in that it both looks good on its own and blends in well next to my projector screen.

My favorite part isn't that your wife finds them attractive, but she asks if you need more speakers.

I have to sneak new stuff in... even AFTER we have discussed the purchase. When I got my Oppo Blu-ray... it sat in place for near two weeks... then she noticed it looked different then the Panasonic Blu-ray that had been there. Of course at that point she no longer remembers the conversation where we discussed the change. Can you have your wife make plans to hang out with my wife? Maybe she could rub off a little on her!!!! ;D

I'm lucky, mine never says anything. If she does it's usually like "O whats that?" or " Holy crap they are huge" hehehehe

Wife "offering" new speakers? Another asking for coach purse? You're both lucky! I'm still waiting for my first Emo stuff because my cherie amour likes things like the attached photo. Okay she agreed to a few Emo gear for the new place next year. So I guess I'm as lucky as you are. ;D

Every time I see that LV logo it curiously morphs to $$ in my vision .... and then grows to $$$$. ;-)

So how do I sneak an xpa-2? I got the xpa-5 10 days ago. Maybe put it behind the rack (built in rack behind the closet). Hmm, I will have a long holiday off so wife won't know if fedex arrives . tnt

Tell her the XPA-2 is the dual channel control module needed for the XPA-5. They work together, like a speaker stand is equivalent to a satellite speaker.

Hmmm, Cathy tells me I'm beautiful, so I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... I happen to love my wife and my beautiful Emo speaker line. Solid, honest, well built, reliable, and sexy. Just like Miss Cathy!! Let's hear it for the women with good taste in men and speakers! Big Dan
