I have a pair of 6.3's being delivered today ;D and the outside temp is hovering around 0 F . How long do I need to let them acclimate to room temperature before 1) powering them up and 2) driving them harder than minimal volume levels? Thanks Wing

Place the boxed 6.3's overnight in your bed and place a down comforter over them. However, that might seem to be an eternity when waiting to fire up new speakers.
So in this case perhaps I would just wing it ( ;D). Place a heated blankie over the 6.3's and turn it on to comfy warm (not hot). Slowly let it warm up until it is the same as the room temperature. The 6.3 should feel nice and toasty and ready to go.
Seriously (you mean I wasn't being serious above?), leave the 6.3 in their boxes until they slowly warm up to room temperature. Then remove them from the boxes and let them stand for a short time. An even better solution would be to cover and seal the entire box with a plastic sheet or tarp, bring it into the house and then let them warm up to room temperature (at least a few hours) and then remove the plastic cover and the speakers from the box (this would hopefully prevent any condensation from forming in the 6.3's).
PS: It is OK to baby to your new speakers. ;D ;D ;D

Oh, wiseguy, nyuk nyuk
They just arrived, WOOO HOOOO! So I opened the boxes and I'll let them sit next to my desk until I leave the office. When I get home, I'll get them out of the box and let them sit for an hour or two, that ought to be enough.
By the way, how do I add a picture to my signature?
Thanks

By the way, how do I add a picture to my signature? I have submitted your question to the Lounge Committee and they are contemplating an answer.

Thanks Wing for how ever long it take to get to room temp, I would say.
