Any user reviews on the UMC-1??

Wow that sounds like a great unit. They may have struck gold but they had to dig a while to find it. I am very excited now, cant wait for everything to look and sound better than before

The "native" mode is just unprocessed image passed directly through to the monitor without any changes. I do not now recall specifically what the "edge enhancement" feature was called in the setup menu. It acted kind of like a sharpness control but affected only the areas that the processor determined to be edges in the image. The sharpness control is just that and best I could tell functions the same as any other video sharpness control- perhaps a higher quality but still the same functionality. Since the firmware that I tested was two versions ago I am not sure how different the shipping/ current version is from that which I tested. I hope this is of some help.
