First time posting on this board. Just received the XPA-2 and XPA-5 yesterday. I have never used an amp before. I was previously using an Onkyo 906 (currently using it as a processor). The 906 had 145 watts x 7 channels. I was pleased with it's sound. However, I was hit with the upgrade bug. (I'm sure there are some out there that have been hit with this as well). I began to read and read some more about Emotiva amps. The glowing reviews drove me to this purchase. Some of my previous upgrades were very satisfying, such as adding a SVS PC-13 subwoofer. And then adding a second PC-13. Anyways, adding these two amps is by far the most pleasing upgrade I have ever done for my setup. The difference is a lot more than I anticipated. I watched Star Trek (2009) on blu-ray today - Wow! I'm still smiling. If you're on the fence about adding a Emotiva amp(s) - stop hedging. You will love these amps! As for all the people in this forum who helped persuade me to make this purchase: Thank you!
Happy New Year

I am also using those Two amps, using the XPA-5 for my HT setup five channels only and the XPA-2 for my stereo setup. I am very pleased with the quality of both setups. Are you using both for HT with the XPA-2 for front left and right. with the XPA-5 taking care of the center and surrounds? I may go that route someday down the road. I all most waited to long to order my XPA-5, now there out of stock for a few months and sale is over. Enjoy your new amps and Happy New Year!

I am using the XPA-5 for center and surrounds, and the XPA-2 for Left and Right. I ordered on December 15th, and when I saw the update on December 28th (out of stock until February) - I thought no chance. Fortunately, I was one of the luckhy ones to receive the XPA-5. With having the week off for vacation, they came at the perfect time. Couldn't be happier!
