For someone with a DSP1124P or SMS-1 would it make sense just to go with the A300 amp?
You still get direct servo correct?

Hehe, and if someone wants Ill show you an eD Class D plate amp. Its not a bad unit itself, but its nowhere near the quality of the Rythmik piece. You get what you pay for. Yeah, lets see since I just bought your eDs. Anyone interested in two eD A5s-300 Sub woofers just 3 months old? PM me.

If you already have a means to EQ properly, the extra 1db of headroom may not be worth 30%. I would even argue you might get better performance than just the 370 alone with a good eq. Good stuff!

The F12 with the 370 watt amp is $799 the A300 amp F12 is $699

All Rythmik amps use the same quality parts and basic design(Cept the 300 uses a basic transformer)on their amp boards. The 370PEQ(1 band 3 way eq) and XLR(which has XLR inputs and a master control input) versions will have one more db output roughly over the A300 along with a subsonic filter and 12/24 selectable xover.

At $699 I would get the F15 with a A300 if I had a way to eq it properly. That is the best buy of the whole line. (assuming that this A300 also has servo drive)

Well, I no longer use my HT for much music anymore since I'm building a 2 channel rig in another room. I do use it for SACD though. I do think it's important to have a tight accurate sub for HT as well, and not just output and slam. My room is only 18x13, so maybe the Rythmik would be plenty. Does it still offer enough slam to make movies fun? Keep in mind, I would be buying two F15's if I ever do decide to go with Rythmik. 2 F15's in an 18x13 room would make you think your in the middle of a magnitude 5 earthquake while watching a movie at reference volume levels. Your talking about frequency extension down to 13-14hz at OVER 100db output levels in that sized room. Pauly, my room is 17 x 12. My eD A7s-650 does an excellent job in this space with both movies and music. No one that has heard this has had anything negative to say about it. Usually, they just walk out of here with their jaws dragging on the floor.

Its still going to outperform the F12 with 2-4db more headroom/output. Besides about 100 watts, you lose the subsonic/rumble filter, 24/db option xover and 1 band PEQ(Or XLR master input). If you have a good processor with good sub EQ function, no reason to get the A370PEQ. If you need a bit more power you have the choice of the PEQ or XLR amp options. Win, win situation anyway you look at it regardless.

That xover should be set very low with your current setup. Alot of sub power with those towers you have. Tellin ya, cross em over no higher than 35-40hz and set the gains to blend in to the point where you cant tell where the bass is coming from. Ive seen time and time again where people set the gains and xover way to high, one of the most common issues. Do you have a lead on borrowing an RTA?

I have tried it many different ways including the way you suggested. Loud, low and, wallshaking is what I get.

And I know you can get a good musical blend with your current setup. Using an 805 right? You have the tools to get those subs to blend in meticulously. Just gotta keep the xover LOW. Let the sub be just that.......a pure SUB. Don't let em do any midbass frequencies, not with those towers you have. You want to feel them, not hear them. I actually care that your eventually going to be 100% happy with those once they are dialed in correctly. Telling me that they are BOOMY tells me they are set way to high currently.
