I watched 12 Strong the other night, fantastic movie. Seeing it was based on actual events and all twelve soldiers lived it was quite amazing.
Going down to watch Wonder Woman now, then hopefully Dawn of Justice tomorrow.

Last night I saw the bluray YES, Live at the Apollo. Good music, no surprises in the selection of songs, excellent craftmanship … but … someone decided to add fake audience noise into the mix: unnatural and also at wrong moments. For example you hear audience clapping while on the video you see everybody just listening and enjoying the music. I will not watch it again and that's a shame because all ingredients for a great musical experience were available.

I watched a movie last night that I found pretty interesting. Before I fall. Sort of a Groundhog Day where somebody dying gets to replay their last day to make things right.

Star Trek Into Darkness, with my wife. She is not much into Sci-Fi, but she likes Chris Pine 😁.

Watched Ready Player One. Audio was a good workout for the surround system. The wife was saying, there is 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

I watched "First Man" last night. It struck me as being rather brooding, no levity at all. This seems unrealistic because it is human nature to turn to at least some levity to relieve the tension. Also the landing itself was too brief. They spend about 2 and 1/4 hours on the moons surface but this movie made it look like they spent 1 minute there. And no flag, which was a major leave behind item. The sound did not stand out to me except for the blast off of the Saturn 5 and the buffeting in the Apollo cabin.

And it’s not a documentary. It’s Based on the novel about Armstrong and his life etc. not about the actual moon race. As far as sound. The bass was 💯 neutered. But the rest of the atmos was outstanding.
