While I've seen this movie before, I must have not payed much attention. I borrowed the blu-ray from a friend so I could compare it to the UHD-bluray that is "supposed" to be delivered next Tuesday. I must admit the DTS-HD MA 7.1 track is quite active in the back/side surrounds as well, and my subwoofers get a good workout. Hopefully the coming UHD-bluray has an even better ATMOS track and HDR10 improves the picture. To say the least, the 4K UHD-bluray is most definitely an upgrade in both audio and video. The audio track, Dolby Atmos, is as good as the best Atmos tracks that I've heard-in-person to date, (LOTR and Matrix Resurrections immediately come to mind), so the 4K UHD-bluray is worth it for the audio alone. The video does look a bit crisper(which I prefer) and the HDR10 definitely adds to the 4K UHD-bluray, but this alone without the audio would make me question whether it would be worth it for the video improvements. I personally am quite happy that I upgraded and I do recommend this 4K disc.

These are next up in the que, got these yesterday and they apparently have good ratings. I like Emily Blunt/John Krasinsky so thought I'd take a chance? Both films were great, suspenseful Sci Fi, (better than Edge of tomorrow, I felt.)

An oldie, I guess - Thor. I've never envied Chris Hemsworth, but I would have taken the chance to smooch Natalie Portman too...

I've been watching the Marvel movies and surprised at how much I enjoy them. Most of them were purchased used (thanks LC!) and a few are new. Watching both Blu-ray and 4K UHD, both are spectacular in the theater setting for both audio and video. I did a Google search to determine recommended order to watch them in and that's what I've followed. And found the recommendation to be spot on in providing a continuous thread of plot as the stories are interwoven.
This followed watching all the John Wick and Daniel Craig Bond movies and the Mission Impossible series. I've watched a few movies in between but am finding I really enjoy the broadening of the whole story from watching them in series.
Happy Viewing!
Chuck

I've found that while 1080p blu-rays don't have HDR10/DolbyVision that the 4K UHD-blurays do, many times the 1080p blurays look quite spectacular. Are you watching the Marvel movies in the order they were released?....or the actual timeline order? I tend to watch them in timeline order now.

I guess it's timeline order because it's certainly not in release order. I highly recommend it.

Definitely a top 5 favorites movie of mine. While the movie is 32 years old, the added Dolby Vision video processing has improved this movie a bit even though it's shot in the dark environment of a submarine. The DolbyTrueHD 5.1 audio sounds quite good with the DolbySurroundUpmixer. The cast is quite a good one, quite a few well known actors.

Finally getting around to watching the rest of the "Jack Ryan" collection of 4K UHD-Blurays. I'm now on "The Sum of All Fears" and I'm quite enjoying it. For a 20 year old movie, it looks pretty good in Dolby Vision. The DolbyTrueHD 5.1 track is surprisingly good and the Dolby Surround Upmixer does a great job of matrixing the other channels.

Ordered this four movie set on Amazon's Prime Day sale and just got it yesterday. Look forward to watching these the next couple of weekends.

If you enjoy being pinned to your seat by the LFE capabilities of your system, this is a film to watch (if not THE film!) The movie is preposterous even in fantasy/sci-fi, but the Blu-ray audio was so bombastic I didn’t care and got lost in it.

I've not yet seen this movie, but all of the personal reviews I've read have stated the same about how "proposterous" the plot is. I have a hunch I will end up enjoying it because of the low expectations I have. I'll probably end up renting it from RedBox.

Yeah, it’s definitely worth one run through, as it sure as Hell puts any competent system to the test in the audio department. It’s LOUD!! I needed to kick back a few notches from my typical action movie output settings.

Just finished watching the first Rocky movie. I'm actually surprised at how well this uhd bluray looks(Dolby Vision) and while it's not like the action movies of today, the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track isn't half bad. It's been a quite a while since I've actually watched this movie and it's like I'm watching it for the first time.

Having just watched Rocky II, the video and audio were very similar to the Rocky I. I really like the way they continued as it felt like this was the natural continuation from the first film.

“THE MENU” According to the reviews this movie was pretty good. For my part, words couldn’t describe how much it sucked.
