I was just told my rma call tag that I have been waiting for since 2:00pm won't come until tomorrow. Why the long wait? I really want to get this fixed.

I ran the updater on my XP system and it was successful. Did a full power cycle on the unit afterwards and waited about half a minute before turning it back on again. -Inputs names and settings were all corrupted including random inputs being made visible. Not a big deal as I just fixed them. -DTS LFE level was set to -99 db -DTS 2.0 level was set to -0 db which seemed odd -Setting the LFE crossover used to be possible. Now when attempting to adjust its value, the buttons either do nothing or set it to random values. For example pressing left several times might get you 32hz, 77hz, 101hz, 40hz. There is no reliable way to set the number for me. -Naming inputs from the remote didn't work. The up/down arrows allowed me to select a letter, but the right/left arrows didn't allow me to select a position (even though the display was flashing to indicated that it received an input). Using the buttons on the front of the unit did work however. -The velocity sensitive volume control is nice -Power button light doesn't turn off with unit dimming. Is it possible to just disconnect the led to the switch? Doing a factory reset cleared up the oddities above regarding corrupted data and inputs. Might want to just make this a step in the update process until this issue is resolved. Faster switching between non-video inputs is a nice enhancement that I noticed. I also have not lost my audio stream coming from my PC between playing/pausing (this would happen before).

For those of you running Windows 7- 64 bit version, there is a Windows XP Virtualization software download available from Microsoft at no cost. It has definitely been helpful with a few of my programs that won't run on Windows 7.

As for myself, I always do a factory reset after an update, so your right, we probably should just make it one the steps. Glad to hear it is working a lot smoother for you.

Windows XP Virtualization is not available for Win 7 Home. Your right, it's only available for Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate versions.

Lonnie, it might be an idea then to modify the instructions PDF and add in the step to do a factory reset after the post-upgrade power cycle.

I liked it as well, but we got so many complaints about it (probably because it was a misunderstanding of what was happening) that we took it out. I will certianly look into adding it to the menu for a later rev.

I have not received anything. You are saying it is in fedex hands, does that mean they are coming to get it or what?

You will get an email from FedX about the call tag. The link takes you to the FedX website to enter in some information and print off the call tag. You can then either take it right away to a FedX facility or sign up to wait for FedX to come and pick it up.

So on our side it is done. If you haven't recieved it yet, it is due to a lag in the Fed-Ex system getting it to you. But we issued it.
