I do not have any experience with Sonos or Squeezebox. I however use the PS3 to interface my server to home AV system. Although the Sony interface is a little weak... they are now downloadong cover art to tag to the files. In addition to audio file playback, the PS3 also plays Photo files, and movies stored on the server... and Blue Ray Discs, DVDs, CDs, Streams NETFLIX movies and of course games (although I'm not much of a gamer). Can any one please comment on if they have compared the Sonos and Squeezebox to the PS3... or for that matter the XBOX? I've used all of them and I like the PS3 the least. Its a great unit, and is awesome if you already have it and dont want to spend more money. BUT for someone comparing it to the Sonos or logitech...it just doesnt hold its own. The PS3 is a jack of all trades, but it hasn't mastered any of them. The Sonos and Logitechs only job is to be a audio streamer and they do it in style Thanks BigRed... but can I please trouble you to be a little more specific? Is it the sound quality that's better?... Is it simply the user interface that better? Is it the the ability accept different formats/codecs? Thanks

Lonnie
When are we going to see the EMO STREAMER introduced to the product line? Admit it, this is one of the big surprises you have referred to recently. ;D ;D ;D

I need some help.. this is all new to me. I was looking at the Sonos site and am not quite sure what I need to purchase for my setup. If I already have the computer, a wireless router and the audio equipment, do I just need something like the ZonePlayer 90? This would only be for broadcasting from music files stored on my computer to one location for playback, and I would be using an external DAC. I see the controller software for PC's is free so is there anything else I would need? Thanks!

The Sonos is a lot more money, looks like a lot more money, and operates on its own proprietary wireless format, not WiFi. So, which is better sonically and ergonomically and all the other plusses? Well after doing some research and getting input from some of the lounge members, I went ahead and spent the extra money for a Sonos system. I got the ZoneBridge, a ZonePlayer 90 and the controller. I have not heard or used a Squeezebox but I have to say I can't imagine anything being easier to use or a better product of its type than the Sonos system. It is soooo easy I find myself laughing because I can't believe how good this thing is. I am really happy I spent the extra money and got this one. Setup was a total breeze and it performs flawlessly.
